Wellness Vision Statement
First, let’s take a look at our Wellness Vision Statement: Wellness is the active pursuit of activities, choices and lifestyles that lead to feeling whole, balanced, vibrant and alive. Curiosity is the spark that ignites the wellness flame. It is a source of intrinsic motivation that leads us to having the strength in mind, body and spirit to live life to our fullest potential. Staying curious about life and actively exploring the world around us, both near and far, fills us with wonder and leads us to and keeps us on the path to wellness. It is our mission to help spark your curiosity, keep your flame of wonder and wellness alive, explore your world, and live life to your fullest!

Next, let’s focus on the statement “Staying curious about life and actively exploring the world around us, both near and far, fills us with wonder and leads us to and keeps us on the path to wellness”. Psychology Today puts it this way (posted Jan 2023): “Curiosity is a key component of well-being, and cultivating it is a skill that can be learned…The trait of curiosity is not just reserved for children – psychologists and neuroscientists from around the world have found that curiosity is a driving force for exploration and critical for healthy development and learning. Practicing curiosity is associated with enhanced psychological well-being, grit, subjective happiness, and meaning in life, as well as lower rates of depression and fewer negative emotions”. Wow, what a giant dose of welcome good news! Staying curious about our world, exploring and traveling are steps we can pro-actively take to achieve wellness.
Are you ready to start practicing curiosity and exploring your world? Each of us can do some things right now to put this into motion:
1) Spark your curiosity about exploring our world. Check out our trips: Solo Women’s Travel: Women Traveling Together with Canyon Calling. Read the vivid and colorful descriptions of these Canyon Calling adventures and let your sense of wonder not only come alive, but run wild and free. Ask yourself where you’ve always wanted to go. What would it be like to have dinner in Italy, meditate under the setting sun in New Mexico, float in the Dead Sea? Choose an adventure that calls to you and make your plan to experience it.
2) Explore your world right where you are, right now. Get out in your own neighborhood and explore that trail you’ve been wondering about, try that new restaurant with the interesting menu, or simply go for a walk with your sense of curiosity alive and actively explore your world!
