Carla is Swiss and we met her when she was guiding a kayak trip on a river in New Zealand. We were so impressed with her inter-personal skills that we invited her to guide our Swiss Alps trip. Carla has been guiding around the world for eight plus years and her English is excellent. She is a passionate mountaineer and she climbed Denali in May 2009. Carla is a rafting, kayaking, and climbing guide and has also taught climbing, skiing and snow-boarding. She helped us tweak the schedule slightly to bring the local culture to the top and so that our customers enjoy the best experiences that her beautiful country offers. You’ll have fun with Carla –she’s a real “people” person.

Jesse lives in Boise, Idaho where she teaches violin/fiddle and mandolin to students of all ages, but luckily she takes time out to lead our trips in Idaho and Wyoming. She fell in love with the mountains and hot springs of the west at a very young age. A travel bug and a desire to explore the world took her all over the United States, Brazil and several trips through Europe. After living in Florida for 5 years and being tortured every night by dreams of being back in the mountains, she returned home, got married, and had a beautiful daughter named Fern. Some women might be slowed down by having children but not this momma and baby. Fern has already seen more of the mountains and hot springs of Idaho than some people who have lived in Boise their whole lives. Jessie’s passion for the mountains is contagious…you’ve been warned!
