Our Story
Our beloved organization began nearly 30 years ago, back when our founder was still leading co-ed tours. Every so often, she had the chance to guide an all-women group, but that wasn’t the norm then.
In 1996, while guiding through the striking landscapes of Sedona, she began to notice something remarkable: the dynamic within all-women groups was completely different. These women weren’t just listening politely—they were engaged, curious, and deeply connected to the experience. They asked thoughtful questions, showed genuine interest in the stories of the land, and truly honored the native connection to it.
Rather than just politely listening to the guide like the co-ed groups, the all-women groups were deeply invested in the tour and asked thoughtful questions. They appreciated, honored, and respected the native connection to the land.
Even the quietest voices began to rise. Women who might have held back in mixed groups were speaking up, sharing their thoughts, and bringing powerful perspectives to the moment.
By the end of the tour, strangers had become companions—laughing together, making plans for lunch, and forming friendships that lasted well beyond the journey.
So, surrounded by the staggering red rocks of Sedona, our founder made an important realization…
Something extraordinary happens when women travel together.
