Welcome to Canyon Calling

The more I travel, the more I realize that people of different nationalities and ethnic backgrounds have more in common than they have differences. The New Zealand Maori have an appropriate saying: "He iwi tahae te tau" meaning "We are all one people." In experiencing these differences, we build understanding and form shades of gray where black and white once dominated. Our planet seems smaller, borders become less important, and before long we begin to feel like citizens of the world!

There are many ways to travel but journeying with a group of adventurous women is the best way I can think of! When women vacation together in the outdoors, we bond quickly and forgive each other's little quirks. We laugh a lot, especially at ourselves. Many experience a boost in their confidence and a greater sense of self-esteem. We compromise and play all sorts of roles in our everyday lives. On vacation, at least, we deserve to be ourselves.

If you're new to Canyon Calling then you're in for a treat! We travel to areas of stunning scenery, have great fun playing in the wilds and make some wonderful friends along the way. You'll find yourself totally immersed in the moment and rediscovering your essential self.

If you've traveled with us before, then a warm "Welcome Back!" awaits you. You have written beautiful and heartfelt comments in our trip books about your Canyon Calling vacations. Many of you have brought friends and family back with you. Thank you for your kindness and your friendship. My wish is that Canyon Calling will always be a labor of love.
